As Christmas of 2021 came to an end, I found another Santa selling his Santa chair in Melbourne in Jan / Feb of 2022.

I loved the way the chair was made lightweight and colorful It was a one piece chair though.  I bought it at a garage sale and brought it home.

Once I got the chair home, I removed the back of the chair making this one a two piece chair and easier to transport.                 As I modified the one piece chair to make it a two piece, I noticed a crack in the wooden column  on my left side. We drilled a 1/2 hole and inserted a steel rod for strength. Next came the wood putty and sanding.

I wanted some comfort in the cushions for when I sit in the chair for a few hours.  I added the thicker seat and back cushions.

Now we needed to install the metal inserts and wingnuts allowing easy on and off or removal of the back of the chair.

I wanted to improve on the tote handle so I used a small fold out and expandable marine boat ladder making it easier to tote behind me for the appearances since one side was already on wheels.

Finally I wanted to make something special out of the center head crest on the top back piece of the chair

I changed the golden globes into a snow globe with Frosty and the stars.

The final touches were applied to a custom colorful Santa in his magical sleigh and reindeer.

It finally came together in my workshop and was approved by Santa Paws and Frosty

A lot of time and money has been spent in detail and making it practical, good looking and easy to haul to my appearances.
